We have a passion for brands. To us they are wonderful, complex organic things that contribute to society and are often businesses’ greatest asset — according to the data, increasingly so. In 2018 Edelman’s Earned Brand Report showed that consumers today have more trust in businesses than in government, with 64 percent saying that they believe CEOs should take the lead on change instead of waiting on government to impose it. Almost half of consumers feel that private businesses and brands have better ideas to solving problems than the government does, and 53 percent believe that brands are more capable than the government when it comes to bringing on social change. That’s a lot of faith and shows just how powerful and important a good brand be — even if it’s not trying to change the world. However, it is important that we understand this faith in brands is built on behavior, not advertising and messaging, which makes an actionable identity more important than ever.
Building a strong identity is a journey of self-discovery. XLR8GRP sees its roll as guide, facilitator and collaborator on an expedition to unlock the best version of yourselves. Fortunately, we have a ton experience doing just that. Our founder and Principal Consultant, David W. Griffith has spent 25 years working within some of the world's best advertising agencies (TBWA/Chiat, The Martin Agency, BBH and Y&R) developing iconic brands and the ideas that fuel them.
